A monumental and highly decorative Italian table lamp in the iconic "champignon" mushroom form, a silhouette that became one of the defining symbols of 1970s Italian lighting design — in the tradition of great Italian makers such as Mazzega, Venini, Vistosi, La Murrina, Poliarte, and F. Fabbian.
The generous dome-shaped shade is hand-blown in smooth, glossy opaline Murano glass in a warm cream-white tone that diffuses light beautifully, wrapping a room in soft, ambient warmth. A refined burgundy/oxblood glass rim runs around the lower edge of the dome — an elegant detail that sets this lamp apart from more standard examples. The base is a sculptural, tapering cone in highly polished brass, its mirror-like surface reflecting the space around it with a glamorous, almost architectural presence. A decorative incised brass band rings the lower section of the base, adding further refinement. The top of the shade is finished with a brass finial.
