Dating to the early–mid 1950s, this exceptional piece belongs to the celebrated “Anse Volanti” (“Flying Handles”) series, renowned for its technical mastery and sculptural elegance.
Hand-blown in Murano, Italy, the vase features a beautifully rounded globular form with dramatic looped handles pulled directly from the molten body of the glass — a signature technique associated with designer Giorgio Ferro. The fluid “flying handles” create a sense of movement and lightness, showcasing the remarkable craftsmanship for which AVEM became internationally recognized.
